Field Trip Information
Hi parents! I recently sent home a newsletter that included a permission slip and general information regarding our field trip to the zoo that is happening on October 30, 2018. We will be visiting the zoo, and I'm sure that your kids will have a blast!
Here is some more detailed information regarding the trip:
We will be meeting up at the school at the normal school day time. We will leave the school at approximately 8:30 and will take a school bus to the zoo. We should be at the zoo around 9:00. The kids will then split into their groups. The groups will consist of 1 chaperone and 5 students. Once everyone is in their appropriate group, the groups will be free to explore the zoo as they please. We will meet back up at the picnic tables to have lunch at 12:00. Lunch will either need to be bought from the school or brought from home. Then, the groups will be able to go back into the zoo and explore some more. We will meet up again at 2:00 where we will then board the buses. We will arrive at the school at approximately 2:30, just in time for dismissal. Based on the schedule, we will be at the zoo all day, and will not have any instructional time that day.

Parent-Teacher Conferences
Hi parents!
As you know, it is almost time for parent-teacher conferences. This is a really good way to be able to talk to me in person about any concerns that you may have about your child's progress. Progress Reports will have just gone out by the time that these conferences will be happening, so this will be a good time to discuss any concerns you or your child may have about their grades. As always, we can discuss whatever else you would like to, including behavior problems. Even if you do not have any concerns, you may still sign up for a conference if you would like to chat. I will be sending an email out soon with instruction on how to sign up for conferences. If you cannot make it to conference night, feel free to reach out to me and we can schedule your conference for another time that works for you.

Holiday Party
Hi parents!
I know it may be a little early, but I have decided to let you know when our in-class holiday party will be so that you can plan accordingly. Our holiday party will take place on December 14th, from 11:00-1:00. We will need some volunteers, so if you know that you will be available, please let me know.
During the holiday party, we will be doing lots of things. We will be playing games and doing crafts, as well as having a holiday lunch. We will need volunteers to supply food and help out with crafts and games. Typically, each student signs up to bring one dish to share, but if you want to bring more, you are welcome to do so.
Our students really look forward to their holiday parties each year, and I want to make sure they have a good time. Please reach out to me if you would like to volunteer. Any help is appreciated!
